We gather weekly to provide Christ-based spiritual support to all on the cancer journey.  Survivors, family members, support angels are all welcome to attend. We focus on spiritual where other support groups focus on the medical, palliative and emotional needs.  You will hear testimonies of survivors and how their focus on God’s love, faithfulness and healing power have impacted their cancer journey.  Bring your fears and your brokenness and experience the peace that God has to give to you!

Each week we look at a scripture that addresses faith and healing and discuss how our walk with God has impacted our walk with cancer.  God-filled testimonies from some and fervent prayer requests from others as we support each other as followers of Christ.

WHAT IS EXPECTED OF ME:
  • Nothing – come as you are and share or just listen and let the Holy Spirit work in you
  • You don’t need to speak
  • You don’t have to pray aloud
  • You don’t need bible knowledge
  • Just a heart for healing and the Lord!

There will be no confrontation at these meetings

We are tolerant of each other

We ask that speakers respect the time of others on the Zoom (Iimit your speaking time)

Prayer for Worry

Prayer:
God, we thank You that You invite us to bring every concern to You. Thank You that worry does not have the final word—You do. Help us release what we cannot control and rest in Your faithful care, one day at a time. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Prayer for Weakness

Prayer:
Father, we thank You that weakness is not failure in Your Kingdom. Thank You that You meet us most powerfully when we feel least capable. Teach us to depend on You fully and to trust that Your strength is sufficient for every need. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Prayer for Toxic Friends

Prayer:
Lord, we thank You for discernment and the wisdom to guard our hearts. Thank You that You care deeply about the relationships that shape us. Give us courage to release what is harmful and grace to seek relationships rooted in truth, love, and peace. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Prayer for Scanxiety

Prayer:
Father, we thank You that You already know the results we are waiting for. Thank You that uncertainty does not undo Your faithfulness. When anxiety spikes in the waiting, guard our minds and hearts with Your peace. Teach us to trust You moment by moment. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Prayer for Surgery

Prayer:
God, we thank You for medical care, skilled hands, and Your sovereign oversight. Thank You that no procedure happens outside of Your knowledge. Calm anxious hearts, guide surgeons with precision, and surround patients with Your peace before, during, and after surgery. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Prayer for Job Stress

Prayer:
Lord, we thank You for the work You’ve given us and for being present in it. Thank You that our identity is not defined by performance or pressure. When stress weighs heavy, give us clarity, balance, and peace. Help us work faithfully while trusting You with outcomes. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Prayer for Helplessness

Prayer:
Father, we thank You that our weakness invites Your strength. Thank You that we are never abandoned in moments we cannot fix or control. When helplessness overwhelms us, teach us to rest in Your power and trust Your hands more than our own. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Prayer for Hopelessness

Prayer:
God, we thank You that hope is rooted in You, not in circumstances. Thank You that when we feel empty, You are still full of promise. When hope feels lost, breathe life into weary hearts and remind us that You are still writing the story. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Prayer for Financial Strain

Prayer:
Lord, we thank You that You are our Provider, not just our observer. Thank You that You know every need before we speak it. When resources feel tight and anxiety grows, remind us that You are faithful to supply what we need—often in ways we do not expect. Teach us to trust You daily. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Prayer for Family Stress

Prayer:
Father, we thank You for the families You’ve placed in our lives—even when relationships feel strained. Thank You that You are a God of reconciliation and grace. Bring patience where emotions are raw, wisdom where conversations are hard, and peace where tension has taken hold. Heal what feels fractured. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Prayer for Facing Death

Prayer:
God of eternity, we thank You that death is not the end for those who belong to You. Thank You for the promise of resurrection and life beyond this world. When fear rises at the thought of death, remind us that You have already gone before us and secured our future. Replace fear with peace and confidence in Your promises. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Prayer for Doubt

Prayer:
Lord, we thank You that You do not reject us for our questions. Thank You that faith can coexist with uncertainty. When doubt clouds our trust, anchor us in what we know to be true about Your character. Strengthen our belief and meet us gently where our faith feels fragile. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Prayer for Depression

Prayer:
Father, we thank You that darkness does not frighten You. Thank You that You meet us even when joy feels distant and hope feels thin. Lift the heaviness that presses on weary souls. Speak truth louder than despair and remind us that feelings are not the final authority—You are. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Prayer for Anger

Prayer:
God, we thank You that You are patient with our emotions and not threatened by our honesty. Thank You for welcoming even our anger into Your presence. Where bitterness has taken root, soften our hearts. Where rage masks grief, bring healing. Teach us to release what we cannot control and to trust You with justice and restoration. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Prayer for Lingering Illness

Prayer:
Lord, we thank You that You are faithful through long seasons, not just quick victories. Thank You that illness does not cancel Your purpose. When healing feels slow or incomplete, help us trust that You are still at work—refining, sustaining, and carrying us. Strengthen our faith in the waiting. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Prayer for Chronic Pain

Prayer:
Father God, we thank You that You are present even when pain does not relent. Thank You that our suffering is never invisible to You. When pain lingers in our bodies and wears down our strength, remind us that You are near, sustaining us moment by moment. Give endurance where relief feels delayed, and peace where the body cries out. Hold us steady when pain tries to define us. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
