BILL MORRIS

In Nov 2021, I was diagnosed with KRAS G12D lung cancer after 9 months of breathing difficulty and several erroneous diagnostic attempts. By the time I was diagnosed, it was stage 3B. 10 rounds of chemo, 30 rounds of radiation and 10 months on an immunotherapy clinical trial leave me active cancer free today 3+ years. On the radiation table I prayed, and God spoke: “I am with you Bill, I always have been – you will be OK.” At the same time I was fighting cancer, Lori was dealing with a massive brain tumor which left her unable to help me get to treatment appointments.   Lori and I both believe that it is our faith that saved each of us. I was notified in the summer of 2025 that the clinical trial I had been on had failed.  The immunotherapy drug combination I had received had done no better than the standard of care treatment that others in the trail had received.  Now, we have a new purpose! God has put it on my heart to reach out to others to help them find the same peace that surpasses all understanding that I found on the radiation table and to remind all of us of our continued mission to “go forth and create disciples” even in our diminished states.

MAY OGILVIE

In May 2022, I was diagnosed with KRAS G12V lung cancer, stage 2B, and today it is metastatic. What felt like devastation at first became the very path God used to reach me.In March 2023, I accepted Christ into my life and that August I was baptized. From that moment on, I’ve been on fire for the Lord. Cancer may have shaken my body, but it gave me the greatest gift – salvation and the promise of eternity with Jesus. Now I’m pursuing pre-seminary studies, because I want to spend whatever time I have left drawing as close to the Lord as possible and serving His kingdom. Cancer changed my health, but Christ transformed my eternity.

MORGAN KAUFFMAN

In December 2010, my grandfather died of stage 4 peritoneal mesothelioma. In 2017, my dad was diagnosed with basal cell carcinoma and underwent 3 extraction surgeries.Almost 10 years later, I am a 7-year US Army veteran, Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA), attending nursing school in 2026, and now working at a Skin and Cancer Clinic in Chattanooga, TN.God has a mighty sense of humor with the journey He’s set for my life so far. He has truly redeemed me as a daughter of Christ, in pursuit of serving others in the medical field, now as a part of His Heavenly Army.I pay a huge tribute to the compassion and fire behind my faith to my mom and dad, my bonus parents (multiple sets), and my sisters in Christ. But most of all, to God Himself. His mercy and grace alone have truly changed and saved my life.Cancer has become an integral part of my life, but Christ remains at the center.

... About Living with Faith and Cancer

OUR VISION

NO ONE WALKS ALONE

We envision a world where no one facing cancer walks alone in their faith journey. Rooted in the love of Jesus Christ, Living with Faith and Cancer seeks to be a beacon of hope for those touched by cancer – patients, survivors, caregivers, and loved-ones – by addressing the deep spiritual questions that arise in suffering.

GOD’S PRESENCE IN THE PAIN

Guided by Christian theology and the Holy Spirit, we believe God is present in pain, purposeful in suffering, and faithful in every season (Isaiah 43:2, Romans 8:28). Our vision is to create safe, grace-filled spaces where individuals can wrestle honestly with fear, grief, doubt, and faith while being reminded of God’s nearness and redemptive power.

SPIRITUAL SIDE OF HEALING

Through prayer, scripture, storytelling, and community support, and spiritual resources, we aim to strengthen faith, restore hope, and remind every person that their life holds eternal value beyond diagnosis outcome. We believe healing is not only physical, but spiritual – and that Christ meets people exactly where they are, offering peace that surpasses understanding.

GLORIFY GOD BY SERVING OTHERS

Ultimately, our aim is to glorify God by serving those impacted by cancer, empowering them to live with faith, courage, and purpose – no matter where they are in their journey.
